Quality Manager

JOB SUMMARY

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will provide tactical and strategic implementation of the quality system and supporting quality programs. In this position you can make immediate contributions in enhancing the current quality program, improving internal inspection processes, and improving supplier quality activities.  The Quality Manager is a member of the Deltrol Controls Management Team where they will participate in the establishment and execution of strategic goals of the company.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manages all quality assurance and control functions of the Company.
  • Develops, formulates, and directs the quality program involving inspection methods, devices and control techniques.
  • Manages and continuously improves the quality management system (QMS)/ISO 9001 quality procedures.     
  • Assures specified quality of raw materials, purchased components, production processes and final product through delegation and responsibility to the Quality Control Supervisor/Engineer and /or Quality Control Technician.
  • Conducts or assigns ISO audits for compliance to the published Quality Procedures.
  • Conducts or supervises studies to determine cause, effect and the corrective action required to remedy deviations to specified quality.
  • In conjunction with Engineering and/or Manufacturing personnel, resolves problems relative to product designs, specifications, materials, tooling and production processes that affect quality.
  • Conducts investigations of customers’ complaints or returns, advising the Sales Department of causes and corrective action.
  • Advises as to the effectiveness of the Quality Program.
  • Administers work rules, regulations and required disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains department requirements in areas of staffing, orientation, training, etc.
  • Establishes department goals and appraises employee performance.
  • Effectively use quality tools such as SPC, PPAP, PFMEA, and DOE
  • Complies with all aspects of the safety program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires 4-year college degree (or equivalent).
  • Requires 3 to 5 year's experience.
  • Required Quality management experience with electromechanical type products.
  • Preferred ASQ certification.
  • Requires the ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications.
